Susana Zabaleta & Fernando de la Mora

Susana Zabaleta and Fernando de la Mora : an explosive combination

The tenor Fernando de la Mora and the soprano Susana Zabaleta have finalized their project to come together and make a tour around various states of Mexico, offering a very special selection of mexican songs, opera, musical, mariachi, and more.

The idea of uniting these two voices arose several years ago when the singers were classmates at the School of Music, but gained strength after they sang together in a special program organized by Televisa in 2014.

They presented their project to the press on February with the characteristic good humor and playfulness of Zabaleta, supported at all times by de la Mora, who said that opera would not prevail in the concert repertoire, but instead propose a combination good Mexican music and musical.

"Our offer is good music. Is to unite our voices to bring something different; a good message to Mexicans, and outside the country ... it is to give a taste of what opera is; to have fun, but also getting into the genre of  fine mexican music and combine our voices." said de la Mora.

The singer explained they seek to appear at festivals and throughout the country and in the United States. Another of his ideas is to make a record of their work together "so that people can take the concerts home." For the singer, this project is very important because it is to bring a little happiness and good news to people in the midst of such a difficult time that Mexico is living.
